Tell Boulder City Council: We Demand a Qualified Police Chief!

Boulder residents deserve a police chief who puts community safety, equity, and nonviolent de-escalation first. Boulder's current interim police chief, Stephen Redfearn, has a history of normalizing racial violence, deploying chemical agents against peaceful protestors, and tampering with evidence during his time serving as Aurora's Police Captain. Click the link below to send a letter to Boulder's City Council and City Manager, and let them know that Redfearn's background disqualifies him for police chief, and that the community demands better!

Additionally, please sign up to speak at the Boulder City Council meeting this Thursday, August 1st at 6:00pm, to urge the Boulder City Council to select a police chief who puts community safety, equity, and nonviolent de-escalation first.

The open comment sign-up form will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday 7/31, so be sure to register before then. You will have the option to speak in-person or virtually, and comments are limited to 2 minutes.

*Note: 20 speakers are selected at random from the list of registrants, so registering will not guarantee that you will be selected to speak. A list of selected speakers will be emailed to all registrants on the Wednesday evening before the meeting.
