Amazing Opportunity to Support a Nuclear Free Pueblo 10/23!
Pueblo County Commissioners are considering putting a nuclear power plant in Pueblo to replace Xcel's Comanche 3 Coal plant, putting Pueblo and surrounding areas at severe risk of nuclear contamination.
Join us on Saturday, October 23rd for a full day of action!
We will be carpooling from Boulder, Denver, Colorado Springs and surrounding areas to leave door hangers informing Pueblo residents of this proposal, before coming together for a rally at Pueblo County Courthouse!
Here's the schedule of events for the day:
7:00-9:00am: On the morning of 10/23, groups will be carpooling to Pueblo from Boulder, Denver, Colorado Springs, and surrounding areas. If you intend to carpool, please indicate that here.
9:00-10:30am: We will meet in Pueblo for breakfast at the IHOP at 4701 N. Freeway Blvd for breakfast, figure out team canvassing assignments, and allocate door-hangers to each team to distribute.
11:00am-3:00pm: Each team will canvass their assigned location, reaching as many houses as possible - we will just hang flyers on doors, not knock on doors.
4:00pm-5:00pm: We will hold a rally at the Pueblo County Courthouse on 215 W. 10th St., urging Pueblo County Commissioners to reject the nuclear plant proposal.
