March for Boulder Police Oversight, March 10th
When: Sunday, March 10, 11 am - 12 pm Where: Naropa University (2130 Arapahoe Ave) to Boulder Police Department
Join the Boulder Chapter of NAACP, Boulder Parenting in Diversity, Boulder's chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice, and other community groups for a march demonstrating zero tolerance for recent Boulder Police Department racial profiling, and a need for an independent oversight board. This is a zero-escalation, family-friendly event. We are discouraging any police agitation. The route is approximately 1 mile, from Naropa to the Boulder Police Department. Please bring signs. Suggestions: - Black Lives Matter - Stop Racial Profiling - No Justice No Peace - White Silence is Violence - We Will Not Be Silent - Demiliterize police - Oversight Now - Stop Police Brutality Note: White folks, please avoid signs with phrases like "Hands Up Don't Shoot" which references risk or experiences not aligned with your identity.
