Get to know the 2018 Youth Peacemakers of the Year: Never Again - Colorado

We are Never Again Colorado! A group of young, diverse and motivated Coloradans who have dedicated ourselves to the safety of our communities through peaceful action.

Never Again- CO, began as a coalition for change among the citizens of Colorado in wake of the shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where seventeen students and staff members lost their lives. But this tragedy was different. The victims, their families and students across the country decided that thoughts and prayers were no longer sufficient. Enough is enough!

Grasping onto the passion and voices of the victims of Stoneman Douglas, Sandy Hook and all those before them, Never Again Colorado has organized the March For Our Lives in Denver's Civic Center Park in solidarity with the national march on our nation's capital on the same day. But the march on March 24, 2018 is just the beginning. This is a movement, not simply a march. The young people of Colorado have had enough, and will create the change we wish to see along with our fellow students around the country. Never Again Colorado is not only an organization created for the passing of comprehensive gun reform, but is also an organization that will show witness to the times and the cries of change coming from the next generation. We exist to ensure the voices of the people are heard, and to guarantee the longevity and perpetuation of the common good and the people's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. -Never Again, CO
