Nonviolence Education

The Non-Violence Education Collective creates and conducts workshops on issues of nonviolence including conflict transformation, direct action, violence prevention strategies, community organizing, and group dynamics. The NVEC maintains a list of trainers in these areas.

The Safety Net Group, a project of the Nonviolence Education Collective of RMPJC, meets twice a month at the RMPJC. We work on civil rights issues, including repeal of the Patriot Act (see "Benjamin Franklin True Patriot Act", and www.bordc.org); human rights issues and immigrant rights issues including support of the DREAM Act legislation, which will provide opportunities other than deportation or dead end jobs for undocumented immigirant students).

To learn about our position on nonviolence as a means of progressive social change, please review this list of various articles.
