Non ViolenceThe Non-Violence Education Collective creates and conducts Nonviolence Trainings for demonstrations and civil disobedience actions, as well as workshops on: conflict transformation; how to create and conduct nonviolent direct action campaigns; violence prevention strategies; community organizing; consensus decision making; and group dynamics. The NVEC also maintains a list of trainers in these areas. The Nonviolence Education Collective of RMPJC, also works on civil rights issues, including repeal of the Patriot Act (see "Benjamin Franklin True Patriot Act", and www.bordc.org); human rights issues such as anti-racism and anti-oppression work and bilding inclusivity in our community; and collaborates with El Centro Amistad and the Colorado Immigraint Righits Coalition on immigrant rights issues, including support of the DREAM Act legislation, which will provide opportunities for young people to move toward citizenship rather than keeping them limited to dead end jobs and vulnerable to deportation.
