RMPJC Strengthens Alliances for Better Jobs and a Better Environment

 Co-Watch LOGO

CO WATCH is a new initiative of the RMPJC, created to support the growing number of our members who have worked at or lived near toxic workplaces and dumpsites with other members and supporters who wish to forge stronger "blue/green" alliances in Colorado for preventive occupational and environmental health.

CO WATCH will work to support green job creation.  Such work, including meaningful clean-up jobs, coupled with alternative energy and other green-based jobs and related policy changes, can build a sound economy, as well as a better environment for Coloradans.

At sites in need of clean-up action, companies who respect their workers' rights and health can be engaged to do the job, instead of ones which cut corners and violate our laws, failing to adequately protect their own workers and putting others at risk of exposures.

In this partnership, CO WATCH seeks to turn Colorado not into a "red" or "blue" state,  but a united "turquoise" state, where blue-collar workers and those concerned about environmental and community health can
join cooperatively together at target sites for common goals and the common good.
